Careers

Child-first work, with the support to do it well.

We are a multidisciplinary children’s therapy team across two centres in north-east Bangalore: Kalyan Nagar and Dr. Shivarama Karanth Nagar.

We look after children the way they deserve, and we look after the people who do that work. If you want to keep learning, and to grow alongside clinicians who care about how the work is done, we would like to hear from you.

Roles open and close as the practice changes. You do not need to see a specific opening to introduce yourself.

Why people want to work here

Good work with children is a team effort.

That is how this practice is built.

01 · Not on your own

You will not be on your own in a room

You will not be on your own in a room, working things out from scratch. You will sit beside experienced clinicians who have seen a great deal, and who are glad to talk through a difficult session. Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs), occupational therapists, psychologists, behavioural and educational specialists, audiologists, and the people who keep the front desk running all work as one team, across two centres, and they share what they learn.

02 · The work itself

The work itself is why most of us are here

It is the moment a child is understood. The moment a parent feels less alone. The small step that changes a family’s week. It is patient work, and it is worth doing well.

03 · Find us early

People find us before we advertise

Because of that, people sometimes come to us before a role exists. Clinicians who want to work here have written in, and we have remembered them. When something opens, we go back to the people who already felt right. So if you have been watching this page, do not wait for the perfect advert. Introduce yourself.

And when people join, they tend to stay. They bring the next person with them, in the same way families bring the next family. That is the part of this place we are proudest of.

Our culture

What it feels like, day to day

A child arranges small play objects on a mat while two adults watch and follow her lead

Warm, and unhurried.

Sessions here are not rushed. We listen first and answer second. That goes for the child, and for the adults in the room. You will be expected to sit down, notice, and take your time, and you will be given the room to do it.

Play is the work.

Children learn when they feel safe and genuinely engaged. So we move, sing, build, tell stories, and follow the child’s lead. You will be on the floor as much as at the table, and that is the point.

We work across disciplines, not in silos.

A speech goal and a sensory need often live in the same child. We talk to each other, share what we see, and keep the plan joined up. Asking a colleague across disciplines is welcome here, not a sign that you are behind.

Families are partners, not visitors.

We follow an open-door approach. When it is appropriate, a parent can sit in, take part, or watch. That is how the work travels home. You will learn to explain what you are doing in plain language, and to bring families into the plan.

Honest conversations, kindly.

We say what we see, including when another service would help a family more. We set honest expectations, review progress, and explain why a goal or a plan changes. Telling a family “this is not the right fit here” is part of the job, and it is said with care.

Growth and mentoring

How we support your growth

Mentoring is built into the week, not bolted on.

Clinical roles here use Lead, Senior, and clinician levels. Lead and Senior clinicians mentor the clinicians around them. Newer team members are not left to work it out alone. There is someone to ask, and someone who notices how you are doing.

You will learn across disciplines.

Working beside occupational therapists, psychologists, and audiologists changes how you see a child. You will pick up language, ideas, and ways of working that a single-discipline setting cannot give you.

Two centres, one team.

Our team works across Kalyan Nagar and Dr. Shivarama Karanth Nagar, in Jakkur. You will have a home centre, and you will be part of something bigger than one room.

  • Kalyan Nagar
  • Dr. Shivarama Karanth Nagar (Jakkur)

You will see a wide range of clinical work

Our clinicians draw on a range of specialised approaches. That includes PROMPT, DIR/Floortime, Hanen Centre programmes (More Than Words and TalkAbility), TalkTools / Oral Placement Therapy, NDT, Handwriting Without Tears, Therapeutic Listening, Social Thinking, the AEIOU Feeding Approach, and the SOS Approach. These are clinical approaches we use, chosen to fit the child, not services on a menu. You will learn how and when each one is chosen, and why.

  • PROMPTSpeech motor work that helps children shape sounds and words with the mouth and voice.
  • DIR/FloortimeDevelopmental, relationship-based work with a child’s emotional and social growth.
  • Hanen Centre programmesMore Than Words for younger children; TalkAbility for older children and their parents.
  • TalkTools / Oral Placement TherapyOral-motor and feeding work.
  • NDT (neuro-developmental therapy)Movement and postural foundations.
  • Handwriting Without TearsHandwriting.
  • Therapeutic ListeningA sensory-based listening approach used as part of a wider plan.
  • Social ThinkingSocial communication and flexible thinking.
  • AEIOU Feeding ApproachAssessment and support for feeding difficulties.
  • SOS Approach for feedingA sequential, sensory-paced approach to feeding.

Who we look for

Warmth and communication count as much as experience.

We look for people who are:

  • Curious about the child in front of them. You want to understand what is going on, not just apply a method.
  • Warm, and able to show it. Tone, presence, and genuine interest are part of the care. A child can tell when an adult is glad to see them.
  • Plain-spoken with families. You can explain what you see without jargon, and say what you do not yet know.
  • A good colleague. You share what you learn, you ask for help, and you make the people around you better.
  • Willing to keep learning. New approaches, new evidence, new children. The work keeps teaching you.
  • Honest about limits. When another service or another colleague would help a family more, you say so.

Experience with children matters. Warmth and communication matter just as much. If you are early in your career and you have the right instincts, the right way with people, and the willingness to learn, we want to hear from you.

What the process looks like

From a note to a conversation.

  1. It starts with a note, not a form.

Write to us. Tell us who you are, what you do, and what you enjoy about working with children. One or two honest sentences are worth more than a formal letter.

  2. We read every message.

A real person reads it, and we take it seriously. We are not collecting CVs into a void.

  3. We reply either way.

If there is a fit now, or one we can see coming, we will get in touch. If there is not, we will tell you, so you are not left wondering. If you are right for us later, we will remember you.

  4. Then it is a conversation.

Your first conversation is a talk, not an interrogation. What you enjoy, how you work, and what you are looking for. We will tell you honestly what we can offer, and what we cannot.

How to apply

Send a short note, or call the front desk.

Send a short note to contact@cstbangalore.com, or call +91 70225 30530 during working hours.

Write to usCall +91 70225 30530

Attach a CV if you have one. If you do not, a short note is enough to start.

In your note, tell us:

  • Your discipline, and how long you have practised.
  • What you most enjoy about working with children, and the children you work best with.
  • Which centre suits you: Kalyan Nagar, Dr. Shivarama Karanth Nagar (Jakkur), or either.
  • How to reach you.

You can also call the front desk during working hours and ask what is currently open. Either route reaches the same team.

We are not trying to fill seats. We are trying to find the right people to look after the children and families who trust us.

If that sounds like you, we would like to meet you. You do not have to be sure it is the right moment. If the work matters to you, say hello.
